Water saving tips at school

  • When washing your hands, turn off the tap while you scrub.
  • In case of leakage, whether in private or public space, inform the maintenance technician or competent authority.
  • Make sure the toilet tank is set to use as little water as possible. Consider the possibility of using water conservation devices (e.g. dual flush tank).
  • Perform frequent checks on the faucets and repair any leaks. If possible replace old faucets with sensor faucets.
  • Choose plants and flowers with low water requirements.
  • Water your garden/plants early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize water losses from evaporation.
  • Set up drip irrigation systems to reduce water wastage.
  • At every opportunity, encourage your partners/coworkers to adopt daily water saving practices, especially in the summer season and/or in areas with water scarcity problems.
