The Closing Event of the “Water Management” Programme in Greece was successfully completed.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment and Energy – Special Service “Executive Authority of the Partnership Agreement”, within the framework of the EEA Grants 2014–2021.

The three-day event took place from Wednesday 2 to Friday 4 April 2025, with activities and presentations held in Athens and Attica, highlighting the results and added value of the projects implemented for the sustainable management of water resources and the promotion of environmental awareness.

As part of the event, on Thursday 3 April, the project “Water Matters – Awareness campaign for the sustainable management of water in Greek islands” was presented.
On Friday 4 April 2025, the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) hosted at its premises in Anavyssos a special session showcasing flagship projects and infrastructures implemented at HCMR with funding from the EEA Financial Mechanism, such as Poseidon System, TrawlCarbon, MARISCA, and Cretaquarium.

In addition, participants had the opportunity to tour HCMR’s laboratories and attend a detailed presentation of the Poseidon System.
