On December 21, 2022, the kickoff event of the “Water Matters” project was held. The project is implemented by the Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters (IMBRIW) and financed by the “Water Management” Program of EEA Grants 2014-2021 (European Economic Area of the Financial Mechanism 2014-2021), with the Ministry of Environment and Energy as Project Operator.
The hybrid event/ conference was attended by 54 people from the field of education (primary and secondary school, university and educators), local government and environmental NGOs, as well as partners from Norway.The conference was greeted by the EEA Grants Adviser at Norwegian Embassy in Athens, Mrs. Maria Fola, the Communications Officer of EEA Grants’ Special Service – National Focal Point, Dr. Elli Vazou, the head of the “Water Management” Program Administrator from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Mrs. Chrysoula Kourteli and the director of the Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters, Dr. Maria Stoumboudi.
